Adult Counseling

We provide one-on-one individual therapy in a safe, compassionate environment right here in Michigan. Our approach focuses on your unique story, combining empathy with evidence-based best practices to help you navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

If you are looking for a trusted counselor, we are here to support you.

What we help with:

Many people seek individual counseling for a variety of reasons. We offer specialized support for:

Mood & Anxiety: Stress management, deep sadness, anxiety, worry, and depression.

Life & Relationships: Relationship issues, family conflict, life transitions, and grief.

Personal Growth: Building confidence, overcoming fear, and rediscovering a lack of enjoyment in life.

Daily Stressors: Work-related burnout and feeling an inability to cope with life's problems.

...or perhaps you just need a safe, confidential space to talk when you don’t know who else to turn to.

What to expect:

The first step is a thorough assessment of your concerns and goals. This initial session also gives you the opportunity to see if our therapists are the right fit for you. Over the first few sessions, we will dive into the details of what brought you here. This may include filling out brief questionnaires or connecting with previous providers if helpful. We strike a high-quality balance: gathering enough information to build a great treatment plan without overwhelming you.

2. The Treatment Phase (Approx. 20 Sessions)
Once we establish your goals, we shift into active therapy. While typical treatment lasts around 20 sessions, your plan will be entirely tailored to your specific needs. We utilize proven, evidence-based practices, but our absolute priority is ensuring you feel safe, heard, and empowered to heal.

3. The Maintenance Phase
After reaching your goals, we work to solidify your progress. Some clients prefer to finish therapy completely once their goals are met. Others prefer to transition to less frequent "booster sessions" to stay on track and maintain their mental wellness long-term.
