Beth Morris

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Beth Morris (She/Her) completed her M.S.W. from the University of Michigan. She has experience as a counselor at Michigan State University as well as 14 years in the Michigan public school system. She is a breast cancer survivor and recently completed treatment in August 2022. Since the pandemic, her areas of interest have broadened to include burnout, compassion fatigue, cancer support, and trauma/exposure for essential workers.

Her focus areas include trauma responses, secondary trauma, ambiguous loss, complicated grief & loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions, chronic illness, and LGBTQIA+. Beth has received specialized training in Prolonged Exposure, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ambiguous Loss, and Brain-Based coping strategies.

Beth’s priority is the comfort of the client and establishing a welcoming environment. Asking for help is a difficult task and respect for that is key to a meaningful journey in therapy. The healing begins when vulnerability has a safe place to land. She is honored to be part of a wonderful team with a commitment to community and emotional wellness.
