Kim Moya

Licensed Professional Counselor

Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Spring Arbor University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Michigan State University.
Her professional background spans more than 12 years in clinical therapy and over 20 years in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and team performance. Kim is an experienced facilitator who has designed and led leadership development programs and workshops that help individuals and teams grow in emotional intelligence, communication, and resilience.
As a therapist, Kim is passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges—including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. She also works with couples to deepen connection and strengthen relational patterns. Kim relies on evidence based modalities such as CBT, trauma informed care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs rather than applying a one size fits all model.
Grounded in the belief that psychological and social needs shape human behavior, Kim prioritizes active listening, open communication, and empathy to build a therapeutic relationship where clients feel valued, seen, and heard. She views therapy as a collaborative effort—working alongside clients to identify strengths, explore patterns, and build practical tools for growth so clients can feel empowered to pursue meaningful, sustainable change.
