Amanda Frazier, LPC

Amanda (she/her) holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Syracuse University (2014) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University (2010). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, board-certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and certified by Postpartum Support International as a Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). Her clinical interests include perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), infertility, grief, anxiety, OCD, and navigating life transitions.

Grounded in the principles of Person-Centered Therapy, Amanda's therapeutic approach emphasizes authenticity, acceptance, and empathetic understanding. The magic of the therapy unfolds through the genuine connection built within the therapeutic relationship. She creates a safe and collaborative space where clients can explore their challenges and aspirations, fostering a sense of hope and resilience. By integrating evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Amanda works alongside clients to cultivate effective coping strategies and transform unhelpful thought patterns, all within a framework of compassionate, non-judgmental support.

Amanda believes that every individual is inherently deserving of dignity and respect. Her practice is rooted in empathy and recognizes the significant influence of clients' backgrounds, cultures, values, and belief systems. As a Christian, she is open to integrating biblical principles into therapy if desired, while always honoring and respecting clients' personal beliefs and identities.

When not in session, Amanda can often be found savoring a big cup of coffee with her nose deep in a good book.
